Tutto nasce durante la pandemia, quando il tempo sembrava essersi fermato. Carmine e il batterista Ovidio Catanzano iniziano a registrare per piacere, senza un vero obiettivo, solo per continuare a respirare musica. Poi le sessioni crescono, si trasformano, e attorno a loro si raccoglie un piccolo mondo fatto di collaborazioni sincere: Dino Fiore, Ivan Santovito, Daniel Angelini, Many Stürner, Alessandro Corvaglia, Antonio Colaruotolo, Marek Arnold… persone, più che nomi, unite da una stessa idea di musica: condivisa, viva, autentica.
L’apertura è affidata a Lady di Beck, Bogert & Appice, con Antonio Colaruotolo al basso. Un brano che, già nell’originale, rappresentava una pietra miliare del rock e che qui trova nuova energia. L’assolo di Capasso è da brividi, pieno di grinta e precisione, una dichiarazione d’intenti fin dall’inizio.
Poi arriva We All Need Some Light dei Transatlantic, una ballata sospesa tra prog e spiritualità, firmata da Neal Morse, Roine Stolt, Mike Portnoy e Pete Trewavas. Carmine si muove con una sensibilità rara, e il suo assolo sembra respirare insieme al brano: calibrato, caldo, autentico. Roberto De Rosa al basso, Ovidio Catanzano alla batteria e Costantino Taglialatela alle tastiere e ai cori creano una sezione ritmica solida e raffinata, che sostiene ogni sfumatura senza mai sovrastare, permettendo a ogni nota di vivere con naturalezza.
Con White Room dei Cream, Tony Alemanno al basso e Ovidio Catanzano alla batteria costruiscono un groove potente e bluesy. Bad Reputation dei Thin Lizzy è pura scarica di hard rock: Capasso domina la scena con chitarra e voce, mentre Ovidio Catanzano alla batteria e Piero Chiefa al basso spingono la ritmica con energia e precisione.
Il Chitarrista di Ivan Graziani è uno dei momenti più personali del disco. Carmine la interpreta con rispetto e sentimento, accompagnato da Ovidio Catanzano alla batteria, Tony Alemanno al basso e Daniel Angelini alla chitarra acustica. La malinconia e la poesia del brano emergono in tutta la loro intensità.
Si entra in territorio sacro con Starless dei King Crimson: Antonio Liccardi alla batteria, Dino Fiore al basso, Ivan Santovito al mellotron e Marek Arnold al sax creano un tappeto sonoro perfetto per le chitarre di Capasso. Un brano imponente, eseguito con coraggio e maestria.
Light Years della Chick Corea Elektric Band vede Antonio Liccardi alla batteria, Roberto De Rosa al basso, Costantino Taglialatela alle tastiere e Salvatore Santella al sax, con Capasso che si diverte tra tecnica e leggerezza, regalando puro divertimento musicale.
Soldier of Fortune dei Deep Purple è una carezza per l’anima: Capasso interpreta, suona, costruisce ogni dettaglio. Chitarre, basso, voce, tutto passa dalle sue mani, in un clima intimo e sospeso, dove ogni nota sembra nascere dal silenzio.
Don’t Look Back in Anger degli Oasis è invece un ponte tra epoche diverse. Anche qui Carmine fa tutto: voce, chitarre, basso, batteria. Il risultato è sincero, diretto, e proprio per questo emozionante — un omaggio al rock britannico e alla sua forza melodica, restituito con naturalezza e rispetto.
L’Heavy Metal esplode con Holy Diver di Ronnie James Dio: Many Stürner alla voce, Sep Sarno alle tastiere, Ralf Reiche al basso e Ovidio Catanzano alla batteria firmano una versione potente e intensa, dove Capasso si tuffa completamente nel brano.
Kayleigh dei Marillion è un omaggio al Neo Prog: Alessandro Corvaglia alla voce, Roberto De Rosa al basso e Cosatantino Taglialatela alle tastiere accompagnano Carmine con delicatezza, rispettando l’anima malinconica dell’originale.

It all started during the pandemic, when time seemed to stand still. Carmine and drummer Ovidio Catanzano began recording for pleasure, without any real goal, simply to keep breathing music. Then the sessions grew, evolved, and around them gathered a small world of sincere collaborations: Dino Fiore, Ivan Santovito, Daniel Angelini, Many Stürner, Alessandro Corvaglia, Antonio Colaruotolo, Marek Arnold… people rather than names, united by the same idea of music: shared, alive, authentic.
The album opens with Lady by Beck, Bogert & Appice, with Antonio Colaruotolo on bass. A track that was already a milestone in rock, it finds new energy here. Capasso’s solo is thrilling, full of grit and precision—a clear statement of intent from the very beginning.
Next comes We All Need Some Light by Transatlantic, a ballad suspended between prog and spirituality, written by Neal Morse, Roine Stolt, Mike Portnoy, and Pete Trewavas. Carmine moves with rare sensitivity, and his solo seems to breathe with the track: perfectly measured, warm, authentic.
