Gli Airbag ci trasportano direttamente sul palco, facendoci percepire l’intensità di uno dei loro concerti, più precisamente al Poppodium Boerderij di Zoetermeer, che li ha ospitati nel 2024. Dysphoria / Live in the Netherlands, il primo live ufficiale della band, arriva a novembre 2025 per Karisma Records, riuscendo a restituire con chiarezza l’atmosfera di quella serata.
Il live segue la tournée di The Century of the Self e propone l’album per intero, nell’ordine originale, accompagnato da quattro brani tratti dai lavori precedenti: due da All Rights Removed, uno da The Greatest Show on Earth e uno da A Day at the Beach. Anche senza essere fisicamente lì, si percepisce come Zoetermeer sia diventata per la band una seconda casa, un luogo in cui la loro musica prende respiro, tra precisione tecnica e intensità emotiva.
Il quintetto sul palco – Asle Tostrup (voce e tastiere), Henrik Bergan Fossum (batteria), Bjørn Riis (chitarre, tastiere e cori) più Øystein Sootholt (basso) e Simen Valldal Johannessen (tastiere) – restituisce un suono sorprendentemente vicino a quello da studio. Le esecuzioni sono tecnicamente impeccabili, i soli di Bjørn Riis si allungano in voli di grande intensità e personalità.
Il live mette in evidenza la musicalità e la cura della band: ogni assolo e ogni passaggio armonico risaltano con chiarezza, mostrando una tecnica impeccabile e una grande padronanza dei brani. A live album that carries you away, moves you, and reveals every nuance of Airbag’s mastery
Airbag take us straight to the stage, allowing us to feel the intensity of one of their concerts—specifically at Poppodium Boerderij in Zoetermeer, which hosted them in 2024. Dysphoria / Live in the Netherlands, the band’s first official live release, arrives in November 2025 via Karisma Records, successfully capturing the atmosphere of that evening with great clarity. The live album follows the The Century of the Self tour and presents the record in its entirety, in the original running order, accompanied by four tracks taken from previous releases: two from All Rights Removed, one from The Greatest Show on Earth, and one from A Day at the Beach. Even without being physically present, it is easy to sense how Zoetermeer has become a second home for the band—a place where their music can breathe, balancing technical accuracy with emotional intensity.
The quintet on stage—Asle Tostrup (vocals and keyboards), Henrik Bergan Fossum (drums), Bjørn Riis (guitars, keyboards, and backing vocals), along with Øystein Sootholt (bass) and Simen Valldal Johannessen (keyboards)—delivers a sound that is surprisingly close to their studio work.
