Elimi – Human Mosaic (Emme Record Label, 2026)
Un mosaico sonoro tra jazz, soul e identità umana
Quello che mi ha colpito di Human Mosaic è l'idea che nessuna emozione, da sola, possa raccontare davvero chi siamo. Pubblicato da Emme Record Label con il sostegno del MiC e di SIAE nell'ambito del programma Per Chi Crea, il nuovo lavoro del progetto Elimi invita a guardare l'essere umano nella sua complessità, senza cercare risposte semplici. Ogni brano è una tessera autonoma, ma solo ascoltando il disco dall'inizio alla fine emerge il disegno complessivo: un'identità fatta di esperienze, contrasti e sentimenti in continua trasformazione.
Sul piano musicale, il progetto costruisce un linguaggio aperto e contemporaneo, nel quale jazz, soul, afrobeats e rock convivono con naturalezza. Non si tratta di una semplice contaminazione stilistica: la varietà dei generi diventa la traduzione sonora del tema centrale dell'album. A dare continuità a questo percorso è soprattutto il groove, pulsazione costante che lega atmosfere differenti e accompagna testi dedicati alle relazioni umane, ai conflitti interiori, alla crescita personale e alla necessità di riscoprire connessioni autentiche in una società sempre più frammentata.
La forza di Human Mosaic nasce anche dall'affiatamento dell'ensemble: la voce intensa e versatile di Grazia Buffa dialoga con il sax tenore e le trastiere di Giovanni Balistreri, la chitarra di Francesco Di Giovanni, il basso elettrico di Vito Vulpetti e la batteria di Roberto Provenzano, creando un equilibrio nel quale tecnica, sensibilità e ricerca sonora si incontrano.
Ogni musicista contribuisce a definire l'identità del progetto, trasformando la ricchezza delle influenze in un unico linguaggio espressivo, dinamico e profondamente umano. La cura degli arrangiamenti e la qualità dell'esecuzione permettono alla band di muoversi con grande naturalezza tra momenti più energici e passaggi più intimi, mentre l'interpretazione vocale aggiunge intensità e profondità a ogni brano. Il risultato è un suono vivo, ricco di sfumature e sempre coerente con il messaggio dell'album.
Anche la successione dei brani segue una logica narrativa ben precisa. Everybody apre il viaggio con un'esplosione di energia e rappresenta il desiderio di liberazione. Get Lost porta invece lo sguardo verso l'interno, trasformando lo smarrimento in occasione di ricerca personale. Con What Kind of Fk** il racconto si fa più critico nei confronti delle contraddizioni del presente, mentre Connessi risponde con un invito all'empatia e alla costruzione di legami sinceri.
Il momento più intenso arriva con No More War, una composizione che affronta il tema della guerra trasformando la denuncia in un forte appello alla pace e all'umanità condivisa. Da quella consapevolezza nasce Growing Together, che suggerisce come la ricostruzione possa avvenire soltanto attraverso la collaborazione, l'ascolto e la crescita reciproca. A chiudere il percorso è Every Corner (Remake) che chiude il cerchio riportando al centro il tema dell'amore, che emerge come filo conduttore capace di attraversare esperienze, conflitti e cambiamenti.

Alla fine dell'ascolto rimane la sensazione di aver attraversato un viaggio dentro l'animo umano, fatto di incontri, domande, cadute e ripartenze. Human Mosaic non cerca effetti spettacolari né facili risposte: preferisce raccontare la bellezza e la complessità delle nostre fragilità, mostrando come ogni esperienza, anche la più difficile, possa trovare un significato all'interno di un disegno più grande. Grazie a una scrittura ispirata, a musicisti di grande sensibilità e a un'interpretazione vocale intensa e coinvolgente, il progetto Elimi dà vita a un album che sa emozionare e far riflettere senza mai perdere il piacere del groove e della condivisione.
Ogni brano aggiunge una sfumatura, ogni melodia contribuisce a completare un mosaico che prende forma poco alla volta, fino a restituire un ritratto autentico dell'essere umano. È un disco che non si limita a farsi ascoltare, ma invita a riconoscersi nelle sue storie, ricordandoci che sono proprio le differenze, le fragilità e le emozioni condivise a renderci davvero parte della stessa, grande umanità.

A sonic mosaic between jazz, soul and human identity
What struck me about Human Mosaic is the idea that no single emotion can truly define who we are. Released by Emme Record Label with the support of the MiC and SIAE as part of the Per Chi Crea program, the new work by the Elimi project invites us to look at human beings in all their complexity, without searching for simple answers. Each song is an independent piece, yet only by listening to the album from beginning to end does the complete picture emerge: an identity made of experiences, contrasts and feelings in constant transformation.
From a musical perspective, the project creates an open and contemporary language in which jazz, soul, afrobeats and rock naturally coexist. This is not merely a stylistic fusion: the variety of genres becomes the sonic reflection of the album’s central theme. The element that gives continuity to this journey is above all the groove, a constant pulse that connects different atmospheres and accompanies lyrics focused on human relationships, inner conflicts, personal growth and the need to rediscover authentic connections in an increasingly fragmented society.
The strength of Human Mosaic also comes from the ensemble’s chemistry: the intense and versatile voice of Grazia Buffa interacts with the tenor saxophone and keyboards of Giovanni Balistreri, the guitar of Francesco Di Giovanni, the electric bass of Vito Vulpetti and the drums of Roberto Provenzano, creating a balance where technique, sensitivity and sonic exploration come together.
Each musician contributes to shaping the identity of the project, transforming the richness of its influences into a single expressive language, dynamic and deeply human. With What Kind of Fk**, the story becomes more critical, addressing the contradictions of the contemporary world, while Connessi responds with an invitation to empathy and the creation of sincere bonds.
The most intense moment arrives with No More War, a composition that addresses the theme of war, transforming its message into a powerful appeal for peace and shared humanity. From this awareness comes Growing Together, suggesting that rebuilding can only happen through cooperation, listening and mutual growth. The journey comes full circle with Every Corner (Remake), bringing love back to the centre as a guiding thread capable of crossing experiences, conflicts and changes.
At the end of the listening experience, there remains the feeling of having travelled through the human soul, a journey made of encounters, questions, falls and new beginnings. Human Mosaic does not seek spectacular effects or easy answers: instead, it chooses to tell the beauty and complexity of our fragilities, showing how every experience, even the most difficult one, can find meaning within a larger design. Thanks to inspired songwriting, musicians of great sensitivity and an intense, engaging vocal performance, the Elimi project creates an album that knows how to move and inspire reflection without ever losing the pleasure of groove and sharing.
Every song adds a new shade, every melody helps complete a mosaic that slowly takes shape, eventually revealing an authentic portrait of humanity.
